Galveston beaches are available for the public to enjoy year-round. However, the amenities at East Beach and Stewart Beach — such as showers, restrooms, etc. — will not be available during offseason months (November-February).

Note: Galveston Island Beach Patrol is not stationed in towers during this time, however they continue patrolling the 32-miles of beaches in Galveston year-round. Be cautious and always remember to utilize the flag warning system when entering the water.

Hours for Amenity Operations

Hours are subject to change without advance notice. Exceptions to standard dates and times can be made on a case-by-case basis for special events wishing to rent the pavilion or park grounds for a fee.

Please follow Beach Patrol's safety tips while at the beach and be aware of the Flag Warning System, used to advise beach patrons of the current water conditions and any applicable environmental warnings.

Daily Vehicle Parking: $15 (One-time entry)

$50 Seasonal Beach Park Pass (window decal) for entry to the following beach parks for the entire season (March to October): East Beach, Stewart Beach, Dellanara RV Park, and West End Pocket Parks.

$95 for an Ultimate Pass (window decal) for an entire year of seawall parking plus entry to the beach parks for the entire season

*Please note that restrooms close 30 minutes after gate closing.

• One-time entry per vehicle with each paid entry
• Do not disturb wildlife, birds, turtle nests, or the designated conservation area
• Pets on leashes are permitted but please clean up after them
• Tents and tarps are permitted in designated areas
• Camping is not allowed between 12 am–5 am
• Glass is prohibited
• Open fires are prohibited except in BBQ pits
• Please stay off the dunes
• 4-wheelers, ATVs, and dirt bikes are prohibited

Special Use Area may only be accessed by vehicles with:

• Disabled Veteran License Plates
• License Plates with the wheelchair disability icon
• Valid non-expired handicap placard properly displayed on rear-view mirror
• Passengers carrying a valid non-expired fishing license and fishing gear
• Hard-bottomed nonmotorized personal watercraft (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
