Moody Gardens revealed the theme for the popular ICE LAND ice sculpture attraction for the 2024 holiday season along with discounts that early bird planners can take advantage throughout the month of July. Visitors can embark on a glacial adventure like no other as Moody Gardens presents ICE LAND: Pole to Pole, set to open from November 23 to January 1. This extraordinary event will take guests on a mesmerizing journey from the North to South Poles, surrounded by stunning ice sculptures and holiday enchantment.
This fall, a team of master ice carvers from Harbin, China, will return to showcase their exceptional talent at Moody Gardens. Using over two million pounds of ice, they will craft towering ice displays that will transport visitors on a frosty journey. Inside a 28,000 sq. ft. insulated tent structure, chilled and maintained at a frosty nine degrees, visitors will be captivated by the intricate hand-carved ice creations. From polar bears and penguins to humpback whales and reindeer, all sculpted out of an astonishing two million pounds of ice, this frozen wonderland is sure to leave guests in awe while enjoying the giant ice slide and chilling out to sip holiday spirits at the Shivers Ice Bar, a unique bar entirely sculpted out of ice.
Moody Gardens’ transformation into "Holiday in the Gardens" will provide families throughout the region with a multitude of attractions to enjoy alongside ICE LAND. The Festival of Lights, a mile-long walking trail adorned with two million lights and animated displays, will immerse visitors in the holiday spirit. Outdoor ice skating, the Arctic Slide, a holiday buffet, train rides, 3D holiday films, and Rudolph 4D are just a few of the other exciting activities awaiting guests.
To make the experience even more memorable, Moody Gardens Hotel will host the new "Holiday Fantasy: A Live Show Spectacular" dinner show December 19-30, combining musical theater, illusions, acrobatics, stunning visuals, and electrifying performances into a heartwarming spectacular promising to reignite holiday joy. Guests can wrap up the holiday season with an action-packed adventure awaiting the whole family at the New Year's Palooza Family Celebration, a New Year's Cruise aboard the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat, and a New Year's Eve Party featuring music with the Mambo Jazz Kings.
