If you are a train enthusiast or just like to watch model trains in action, you will enjoy the excitement of this one-of-a-kind annual model train rally where serious collectors and hobbyists come together to show off their model train sets. Larger than you can imagine, these spectacular displays come with all the bells and whistles at RAILFEST, April 26 – 27, 2025, 10 am – 5 pm at the Galveston Railroad Museum, 2602 Santa Fe Place.
Visitors can get up close to observe model trains of all sizes weave in and out of the train depot. Fun for all ages, the event provides hours of entertainment and fun. In addition to the model trains, visitors can experience immersive exhibits on real trains, while enjoying entertainment, the Whistlestop food court, shop at the Depot Marketplace, or take a ride on the Harborside Express – a real Caboose that travels the tracks alongside Harborside Drive.
