Galveston's Own Farmers Market
Galveston's Own Farmers Market brings locally-grown produce, prepared foods and edible farm products to residents of Galveston and the surrounding areas to provide a direct connection to vendors creating and growing fresh whole foods. We strive to foster a greater sense of community through supporting local Texas farmers and producers, and connect individuals with their local food economy.
GOFM is a small-but-mighty organization run by a small local staff and an all-volunteer Board of Directors and countless efforts and hours from volunteers in the community.
Our organization is funded by generous grants from local and national philanthropies, Friends of the Farmers Market memberships, vendor fees, fundraising events, community donations, merchandise sales and beyond.
Products typically available include: kombucha, fresh bread, hand-roasted coffee, teas/salves/tinctures, olive oil, sea salt, baked goods, salsa, jams, fresh eggs & meats and fresh produce. All GOFM markets utilize only LOCAL vendors selling foods they grow or make themselves, which means at certain times of year we have very little produce because our local farmers have very little harvest (ie if it has rained a great deal, or the middle of summer, immediately after several days of freeze, etc.
