Dining Through Time: A Culinary Journey Through Galveston
We invite you to join us at La Mesa Cooking Studio for an exclusive, immersive dining experience. Led by Chef Mary Bass, a proud fifth-generation Galvestonian, this unique event will take you on a culinary journey through time, showcasing menus from historic restaurants that once graced our island. These menus, carefully preserved in the archives of the Rosenberg Library, offer a glimpse into the rich gastronomic history of Galveston.
As you indulge in a curated 5-course menu highlighting Gulf seafood, you will also discover the stories behind the island’s historical landmarks. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine or beverage of choice, while water will be provided.
