On Friday, December 6th, 5:30 to 9:30 PM, tour the interior of four private, historic properties and enjoy the exterior beauty and grandeur of many more homes throughout the 58 blocks of our East End Historical District, all while listening to a variety of holiday music. Stop by the Cottage for a cookie and keep an eye out for Santa Claus.
The elegant homes of the East End Historical District are the products of skilled European immigrants during a time when Galveston was the wealthiest city in Texas. These homes were designed in a variety of architectural styles for prosperous merchants and entrepreneurs. Our neighborhood has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Your ticket purchase helps us with the upkeep and preservation of our two neighborhood parks, Darragh and Alderdice, and our historic Cottage, plus our ongoing mission of community engagement.
