Krewe of Thalasar Presents: Sirens and Sailors Mardi Gras Ball

The Krewe of Thalasar, Galveston's ONLY Nautical Krewe, will lead a Second Line procession from 19th & Strand, down to 20th Street, across Harborside Drive, to Pier 21 and the Texas Navy Monument where they will honor the rich nautical history within the Galveston Ship Channel.

The Port of Galveston is the oldest port in the Gulf of Mexico west of New Orleans. From its establishment by the Congress of Mexico in 1825, to the arrival of the first Blain Kern Mardi Gras Floats in 1985, to the celebration of its 200th Anniversary in 2025...the Krewe of Thalasar honors the past, present, and future of the Port of Galveston in its Bicentennial Year.
