Moody Mansion
Restored in 1895, this Galveston landmark was originally the home of one of the country's wealthiest people in the 1950s, W.L. Moody, Jr. The property is still full of original family memorabilia and is open daily for self-guided tours and offers behind-the-scenes all-access tours with advanced booking. The Galveston Children's Museum is on the first floor of the mansion and offers an abundance of kid-friendly activities. Admission to Moody Mansion is $15 per adult. Student discounts and family packages are available, and children under 5 may enter for free.
