The Galveston Island Trolley offers a fun, convenient, and affordable way to explore the island’s top destinations. For just $1 per adult (with minors riding free when accompanied by an adult), you can hop between the historic Downtown and the scenic Seawall with ease. Just bring exact change—drivers are unable to make change—and enjoy unlimited transfers between loops during your ride.
Trolley Routes:
- Seawall Loop
- Ride between Stewart Beach and Moody Gardens with stops all along the famous Seawall. Traveling east or west? It’s easy to hop on and off for beach days, dining, and attractions.
- Transfer to the Downtown loop at 21st Street & Seawall Boulevard.
- Downtown Loop
- Travel between Historic Downtown Galveston and the Seawall, with convenient stops along 25th Street, Postoffice Street, 20th Street, and The Strand.
- Transfer to the Seawall Loop at 21st Street & Seawall Boulevard.

Two Trolley Experiences
Rubber Wheel Trolley (Daily) These classic, air-conditioned trolleys run seven days a week along both routes, making it easy to move between the beach, attractions, and Downtown at your own pace.
Rail Trolley (Seasonal Hours) These vintage streetcars roll along actual tracks through Historic Downtown, offering a charming and genuinely local way to experience the island. Hours vary by season, running daily in summer, Thursday through Sunday in spring, and Friday through Sunday in winter. Check the schedule before you visit so you don't miss it.
The Routes
Seawall Loop — Runs between Stewart Beach and Moody Gardens with stops along the famous Seawall. Great for beach days, dining, and attractions. Transfer to the Downtown Loop at 21st Street & Seawall Blvd.
Downtown Loop — Winds through Historic Downtown with stops along The Strand, Postoffice Street, 25th Street, and 20th Street. Transfer to the Seawall Loop at 21st Street & Seawall Blvd.
Transfers between loops are always free. One fare, all day.
